Rock The South Starts Tomorrow!

Published on Thursday, June 1, 2017 by Jessica Wallace

What originally was created as a one-time fundraiser for our beloved state has become known as “The Biggest Party in the South.” In 2011 tornadoes struck the city of Cullman, along with many others, and left a lasting impression on all who were present. Now selling out at around 60,000 attendees from all over, Rock The South is putting us on the map.

You may initially think rock = rock, metal, alternative, etc. but don’t be fooled. Here we’re meaning the verb form of the word and trust me, any genre can “rock!” A mix of both southern rock and all varieties of country can be heard at this festival, along with a party DJ in-between sets. Like stated on the site, this event is about southern culture, family, and giving back.

Glamping is a feature available for the first time this year with two options, both which sold out early. Bus tickets from Birmingham, Florence, and Guntersville are also a new and helpful addition. General Admission ($99 for the  2 days) and another new experience, Front Porch Seating ($650 for great seats for the 2 days and meals), are the only two tickets available for purchase now and will go quickly!
