Heads turn as the members of The Tip enter a room. The crowd at The Nick was few but the guys rocked like there were thousands. Cranking out a raucous set that included the tunes, "Rock N Roll Heaven", "Ain’t Fakin’ It" and "Outta Control”. The show moves at a frenetic pace, fueled by their boundless energy. Blasting out a crowd favorite “Last joint”, the show doesn’t stop until they’ve won over the room. This is a band one must see live to truly appreciate. Check out their music but don’t pass up a chance to see them live. Tell your friends and spread the word, these guys are going places. The Tip is a great band that’s living the rock n roll dream. *From the show at The Nick 12/17/2016*

The Tip was formed in 2014, when front man Benny Carl and drummer Dixie Carl joined forces with guitarist Ricky Dover Jr., later adding current bassist Robby Bote. Long days and nights in the studio produced their first EP “Killing It Wasted”. Between several tours, The Tip recorded and released its first full-length self titled album in the summer of 2015. They hit the road again in January of 2016, touring extensively throughout the country. The bands brew of blues-infused, dirty rock and roll, and hard work ethic quickly turned heads in the rock industry. They’ve recently opened for acts such as Buckcherry, The Darkness, Sebastian Bach as well as performing at ‘Rocklahoma’. August 2016 saw the release of the band’s second album “Sailor’s Grave”. The Tip is currently firming up plans for extensive touring, festivals, and new music to debut in 2017. The coming year may well prove to be the bands most successful yet.
